Emma Mills

I usually begin a review with the Goodreads summary of the book. But this time, I’d like to try to do my review first. I’m horrible at reviews because I feel that I give too much away. So I usually keep them simple.

This Adventure Ends was one of the best novels I’ve read this year. Granted, I haven’t read many books this year. It was funny, heartfelt, and full of sarcasm. The novel follows Sloane, after she moves down to Florida with her family.

Sloane isn’t one to make friends easily. Mostly, because of her sarcastic personality (which I love by the way). However, she meets a couple new friends at a party she gets dragged too. How they become friends, you’ll have to read it.

Sloane goes outside of her comfort zone. She tries new things, mostly do to the pressuring of her mom and friends. But the new friends she gained by going to the party, she does something amazing for them. She goes on this adventure to recover an important item for them.

I gave This Adventure Ends 5/5 stars. It was fun, witty, and filled with sarcasm. It was filled with heart break, friendship troubles, and forgiveness. I definitely recommended.

Goodreads Summary:

Sloane isn’t expecting to fall in with a group of friends when she moves from New York to Florida—especially not a group of friends so intense, so in love, so all-consuming. Yet that’s exactly what happens.

Sloane becomes closest to Vera, a social-media star who lights up any room, and Gabe, Vera’s twin brother and the most serious person Sloane’s ever met. When a beloved painting by the twins’ late mother goes missing, Sloane takes on the responsibility of tracking it down, a journey that takes her across state lines—and ever deeper into the twins’ lives.

Filled with intense and important friendships, a wonderful warts-and-all family, shiveringly good romantic developments, and sharp, witty dialogue, this story is about finding the people you never knew you needed.

I couldn’t find an author website for Emma, but you can check her out on Goodreads.

I hope you found this review helpful.
