I can’t believe 2023 is almost half over! This week I read four books and am more than 60% to my 2023 reading goal. Here are the books I finished this week:
- Dream Big by Napoleon Hill – I can see how Napoleon Hill made an impact during his time, but while the basic concepts of his personal development guidelines make sense, his adages haven’t aged well. This short book lands solidly in the it’s-finished category.
- Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng – I loved this book! I listened to the audiobook, and it was such an engaging study of motherhood and its different forms and facets. I’m excited to finally watch the Hulu show now!
- Exes and O’s by Amy Lea – I really enjoy Amy Lea’s books, and this is no exception. An engaging contemporary romance is with strong character development and a good plot line? Sign me up for more of this Influencer series!
- Running Into You by K.M. Gillis – I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review, and I genuinely loved this happily-ever-after story. The dual point-of-views added depth to the characters, and it was a fast-paced read.
And now that we’re solidly into June, I’m ready to dive into the books from my summer hopefuls list!
